Horns Construction completed this full refurbishment of a one-bedroom flat in Paddington, Westminster, London W2, working with architects with whom we have an established relationship. The brief was to create a refined rental home that makes the most of its modest footprint, with a coherent finish throughout.

The finished living and dining room brings together a soft neutral palette, herringbone-pattern flooring and fitted shelving. Black track lighting adds definition, while the arrangement accommodates both relaxed seating and a dining area within a compact room.
A broad curved opening connects the living space with the kitchen. Dark cabinetry, a light worktop and a reflective splashback give the kitchen a distinct identity while keeping it visually connected to the rest of the flat. The contrast with the pale living-room joinery creates a balanced, considered interior.
A calm bedroom with character
In the bedroom, a deep teal upholstered headboard, warm timber bedside furniture and muted pink accents add depth to the otherwise restrained scheme. Together with the soft window dressing and carefully chosen lighting, these details give the room a welcoming, finished feel.
